What is "apop-accessibility-pro" and why do I see it in cookie checkers?
Some external cookie scanner tools may list apop-accessibility-pro as a “cookie,” but it is not actually a cookie. OneTap uses a small local storage entry under this name to remember accessibility settings (for example, if a visitor enabled bigger text or contrast mode).
This entry is:
Not a tracker – it does not collect or share personal data.
GDPR-compliant – it only stores the user’s chosen accessibility preferences locally in the browser.
Safe to mark as essential – you can mention it briefly in your privacy policy under “necessary functionality.”
So, if you see apop-accessibility-pro flagged, it’s simply a false positive from the scanning tool.
